Riding the Wild West

All the wild animals crawled out for this brisk spring wind in Parksville, BC.


The local riders told me the sea lions were friendly, but I saw how big they are up close at the Vancouver acquarium (they're as big as beluga whales). There must be a reason they're called lions. So I hung a little closer to the beach than I would on fresh water.
First sunburn of the season - note the resemblance between my face and my daughter's shirt. Who cares, I haven't smiled like that in months!
